Why Unfollow?

The TurtleTok Games is a show on TikTok created by its show host Turtle. This show is the result of an idea derived from some other challenges that took place on Turtle's main account "turtlepv".

This is a game of "unfollow me if..."

Questions are asked for the rounds of the game, and certain answers get picked to be eliminated from the game. Those that fall under the disqualifying items are then required to leave the account.

The original intent of the show was to get down to one follower, and rounds would continue for as long as it is necessary to eliminate everyone. However, to keep the games from running too long there are now only nine rounds per season, and whoever lasts the longest or makes it through all the rounds wins.

Chaotic Content

This was not originally idealized to be such a large scale. In fact, Turtle thought the game would not make it past 1000 players.

To his surprise the very first season of the game started on April13th 2021 with over 467,000 players. With it being so large there was a lot of controversy and chaos.

Rounds were created to be frustrating, and those who lost were not happy. Some people refused to unfollow the account even after losing, but since there was no collection of answers there was no way of knowing who cheated.

Season 1 eventually became impossible to finish because of the number of followers misplaying the game. However, the crash and burn of the first season lead to a desire for a redo.

From then on Turtle has been working to improve the game and its structure. Team members for the game were added to help with running everything smoothly, and the ideas continue to grow with every season.
